ABOUT ME

I am an instructional designer, web designer, music educator, and performer who currently works as a Course Developer for Berklee Online.

Exploring creative intersections between technology and education is a cornerstone of all my current and past experiences. Throughout my career, I have taught music to hundreds of students at the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels. My graduate research examined uses of technology in secondary classrooms. In my current work as an online course developer, I continually seek innovative teaching approaches to creatively engage students in music through technology.

Additionally, I worked as a web designer for the Jacobs School of Music and Indiana University Studios, which included a complete redesign of the music school website. My work in this capacity has greatly informed my ability to build digital learning experiences that are engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing.

As a performer, I served as principal clarinetist in the Indiana University and University of Colorado bands. I’ve performed as a soloist with the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra as the winner of their Young Artist Competition and was awarded second prize in the Aurora Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.

I earned my master’s degree in music education with an outside focus in arts administration from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. I also hold bachelor’s degrees in music education and clarinet performance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
